Phase I: Borders and Bridges: The Course Background

The Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art is located in a beautiful forest park with tens of thousands of square meters of creative and event space. Since its establishment, the Art Museum has been committed to the exchange and promotion of contemporary art, systematically and extensively combing the current state of contemporary art. From academic, exhibitions, text and all other aspects, it interacts with all walks of life in a multi-faceted manner, integrating and obligating to take responsibility for social, cultural and artistic guidance.

Phase 2: The Course Concept

  • Creative and imaginative art gallery parent-child trip
  • An infinite classroom branching from art gallery to the forest park
  • Exploring ways which bring traditional aesthetic education and contemporary art together

Phase 3: The Curriculum

  • Course duration: 10:30 15:30 (with lunch)
  • Course size: 10-15 people
  • Admission requirements: 5-12 years old (one child can be accompanied by 1-2 parents)

Phase 4: The Process Arrangement

  • 10:20-10:30 Exhibition hall sign in collection, receive information package
  • 10:30-11:10 The guide introduces the exhibition and explains the work
  • 11:20-12:00 Visit the park and visit the studio of famous artist Qin Feng
  • 12:00-13:20 Selected lunch break
  • 13:30-15:30 Parent-child cooperation, choose your favoured media or material to create an exclusive art memory

Phase 5: The Curriculum Feedback

Photos and images will be gathered as good memories to share and savour, with the results of the course being promoted on the official website of the Beijing Museum of Contemporary Art. Excellent works will also participate in the annual exhibition of the children’s education project.

For participation in the course across 3 individual course involvements a certificate of honour will be presented to those members.
